April is just around the corner! You wouldn’t necessarily know it here in Edmonton, where icicles remain along with 4 feet of snow on the ground. Hopefully wherever you are is more spring-like! But soon we’ll be able to deck ourselves out in our fancy spring attire – might as well start with this new April 2011 Desktop Calendar Wallpaper!

It’s March! Here in Edmonton, the confused birds are chirping amongst a blizzard of snow and ice. Awesome. Totally what I associate with March and spring. Anyway, here’s this month’s desktop calendar wallpaper – some light 3D styling, some rainbow-esque colors, some dark colors, and plenty of contrast. It’s sort of a visual amalgamation of how March usually turns out in our neck of the woods, weather-wise: all over the place. Enjoy!

Last year, we created a Color Theory Quick Reference Poster - a cheat sheet designed to give you a quick overview of color theory at a glance. It proved fairly popular with the design community, as we received our biggest bump in traffic yet from it, and it remains one of our most popular posts. I know I still reference it quite often.

One thing that quite a few readers have asked for is a similar quick reference poster, or cheat sheet, for the Elements of Design. Well, wait no longer readers –  it’s here, it’s free, and it’s pretty sweet (in my humble opinion).

*Edit: Guess what? We also have a Principles of Design Quick Reference poster now, along with our Color Theory poster!
