JACEK Chocolate Couture is a boutique, artisan chocolate company specializing in hand-made collections that are only available for a short period of time. Our task was to create a brand that both resonated with the target market (young professionals, male & female, wide age range) and demonstrated a high-end, boutique feel. That identity was then to be carried into both packaging and web design.

Identity: The business identity is a combination of traditional (crafted emblem) and modern (modern, sans-serif type). The intricacies of the emblem speak directly to the intricacies of the chocolates made by JCC.

Packaging: Keeping with the brand identity, the packaging was driven by a desire for clean & confident lines, with strong brand presence. It was important to the client to have a good ROI which involved minimizing the amount of paper used, so an innovative solution was reached: placing the flavor card, or the information for each chocolate, on the inside of the sleeve that enclosed the package.

Website: The website is clean, aesthetically sound and easy-to-use for JCC’s clients. Large margins add to the site’s balanced feel; photos of each individual chocolate in each collection are launched in-browser using Javascript. A custom blog was implemented, allowing the client to author content at her convenience. Link to live site.
