Flagship is a web development company in Edmonton that needed an identity as well as some print work and a website design for their launch.
Identity: As a younger company, Flagship wanted their identity to reflect their fresh approach to web development. The idea of a rocket ship as an icon came about not only as a take on the word “flagship”, but also to show a sense of playfulness and positivity. We carried this identity through the website design and the print design. On top of the logo, we wanted to use development tools and language as part of the design – a sort of meta thing, you know? That’s why you see tags and grids in the website.
Web: The Flagship website was designed to carry elements from each stage of a web design – sketching, wireframing, and the final product. We incorporated sketch-style background elements, Photoshop-style transform elements and more into the design, showcasing the playfulness of the brand as well as the company’s attention to detail and professionalism. Flagship developed the site themselves, of course!
